TTK VS SHOTS TO KILL
Damage, Shots to Kill and TTK describe different parts of the same outcome.
NUMBERS ONLY MATTER IN CONTEXT.DAMAGE IS NOT THE WHOLE STORY
A weapon with higher damage does not automatically eliminate a target faster. Damage is one part of the result; the number of shots needed and how quickly they arrive also matter.
SHOTS TO KILL
Shots to Kill, or STK, is how many hits are needed to reach the damage required for a target. A damage change may leave STK unchanged or move it across a threshold.
TTK IS ABOUT TIME
Time to Kill, or TTK, considers the time between the shots needed. Fire Rate and Shots to Kill work together, so two weapons can need the same number of shots but take different times to do it.
SMALL DAMAGE CHANGES CAN MATTER A LOT
A small damage increase may make little difference until it crosses a threshold that removes one required shot. The size of the change alone does not tell you its impact.
ARMOR, HIT ZONE AND DISTANCE
The target and situation matter too. Armor, hit zone, distance and ammo can all affect the damage needed and therefore the STK and TTK.
READ THE RIGHT NUMBER
Read the stats together. Do not judge a weapon from Damage or TTK in isolation.
