HOW TO READ A RECOIL PATTERN
A recoil pattern is a visual way to compare weapon movement across a shot sequence.
RECOIL MOVEMENT. NOT BULLET IMPACT.EACH POINT IS ONE SHOT
Each point represents simulated movement associated with one shot in the recoil sequence. It is not a bullet impact and does not predict where a projectile will land in a match.
THE PATTERN SHOWS MOVEMENT
The overall shape helps you read vertical and horizontal movement, its overall size, and how movement varies from shot to shot. The diagram is abstract and contains no weapon-specific sequence.
STOCK VS YOUR BUILD
The useful comparison is relative: Stock against Your Build. The question is not where bullets will hit. It is how the weapon movement changed.
SAME PATTERN, DIFFERENT MOVEMENT
Attachments can reduce or otherwise change the intensity shown by the visualized movement. That does not mean the player will see this exact path on screen during a match.
THE PLAYER IS NOT IN THE GRAPH
The graph does not simulate someone pulling a mouse or controller to compensate. In a match, the player reacts and can counter some weapon movement.
DO NOT CONFUSE RECOIL WITH SPREAD
Recoil describes weapon movement. Spread describes how shots disperse. The two are related to shooting, but they are different effects and should be read separately.
READ THE COMPARISON
Compare the shape and scale of the movement, then decide whether your build feels easier to control. Do not treat the dots as predicted impacts.
COMPARE THE MOVEMENT.
NOT THE DOTS.
